American Whitewater's leadership and membership support river events as a fundamental component of the organization. Our events strategy focuses on achieving four goals:

1. Increasing membership for the organization,
2. Focusing the media and the public on significant conservation, access and safety issues,
3. Motivating passive members to become active stewards, and
4. Serving likeminded groups who support American Whitewater in order to reach mutually beneficial goals.

RiverFests blend camaraderie, music, outdoor activities, and vendor marketplaces to create a celebration of a healthy river community and the outdoor lifestyle. Be sure to check out a local river festival near you!
