//American Whitewater's leadership and membership support river events as a fundamental component of the organization. Our events strategy focuses on achieving four goals: //

  - Increasing membership for the organization,
  - Focusing the media and the public on significant conservation, access and safety issues,
  - Motivating passive members to become active stewards, and
  - Serving likeminded groups who support American Whitewater in order to reach mutually beneficial goals.

RiverFests blend camaraderie, music, outdoor activities, and vendor marketplaces to create a celebration of a healthy river community and the outdoor lifestyle.  Be sure to check out a local river festival near you!
