Hometown: Rock Island, TN

Sponsors: Jackson Kayak, Patagonia, Lotus Designs

Favorite River: Rock Island

Biography: I was raised by a whitewater canoeing family, so I got started young. Too small to carry even one end of a canoe, I lucked out and got to kayak instead! I was a weekender / club boater with the Central Georgia River Runners through high-school, went to ‘higher education’ 30 minutes from Woody Calloway and Risa Shimoda’s house in NC, then became a video boater on the Gauley River after graduation. This led to lots of creeking, playboating, shooting ww videos, sponsorship, and eventually work with Pyranha then Perception Kayaks. It has been a great trip so far and I’m looking forwards to an exciting new chapter with Jackson Kayaks!
